    The high strength of concrete makes this material very popular in construction.

    Without it, the processes of building the foundation, walls and various kinds of floors can not be done. However, during construction, it should be taken into consideration that concrete structures are very fragile upon bending. In order to eliminate this disadvantage, the reinforcement of wall panels is used.

    Why do you need to reinforce wall panels?

    Technologically competent reinforcement of a wall panel allows you to solve a number of strategic tasks. To strengthen concrete, such methods as monolithic, mesh or fiber reinforcement can be used.

    To date, the most common method of reinforcement of wall panels is one with a composite mesh. When used, the fiberglass mesh takes on the tensile forces, and the compression load goes to the concrete. This increases the strength of even the most complex structures.

    The main advantages of reinforced fiberglass structures:

    • they are not afraid of temperature jumps;
    • resistant to aggressive natural factors;
    • increases the fire resistance of structures;
    • strength characteristics are increased;
    • increases the duration of service life;
    • have high resistance against moisture;
    • installation time decreases.

    Types of reinforced concrete wall panels by load

    According to the resistance to high loads, reinforced concrete panels are divided into the following types:

    • self-supporting structures receive the vertical load that comes from the weight of the plate, as well as weight of the panels that are located above it;
    • curtain panels are considered the weakest, because they are not designed to be supported by other building panels, except for door frames;
    • load-bearing plates receive their own vertical load as well as the weight of the floors that rest on it, and also transmit the total load to the transverse structures and the base of the building.

    Classification of external plates

    External wall panels are classified into 3 categories:

    • single-layer reinforced concrete products-made from one light fraction of concrete. Here, the main layer of the slab is treated with special cement to optimize the complete formation of the finishing process;
    • double-layer – includes reinforcement and heat protection. Such panels are used for internal thermal insulation of the room;
    • three-layer – connected by ribbed panels, the gap between which is filled with heat insulators. Such slabs are the most popular in the construction of multi-storey buildings.

    It is worth noting that composite materials are an important element of three-layer wall structures. For example, our composite (fiberglass) mesh for reinforcing wall panels is actively used in the construction of various types of structures, thanks to which:

    • the thermal insulation qualities of wall plates are improved. Composite materials have 40 times lower thermal conductivity than steel;
    • composite mesh is not subject to corrosion, unlike its metal counterpart;
    • our mesh has an equal diameter along its entire length, so that there are no through channels in the thermal insulation layer of structures.
